The Vybe notification band is available for pre-order

We recently reported on the Vybe notification band, a kind of anti-smartwatch. Its sole purpose it to buzz your wrist to let you know to check your phone. The rubberized band lasts up to 5 days on a charge and is waterproof.

For those of you who don’t mind going through the tedious task of pulling your phone out of your pocket to check a new notification, this might be the band for you. You can keep your device in silent mode and use the Vybe to let you know when it’s time to reach down and unsheathe Excalibur (note to self: change your phone’s name to Excalibur – “OK, Excalibur, navigate to the nearest Chipotle”). Maybe you don’t always have your phone on you (I know, weird, right?). With the Vybe, you can still receive notifications up to 50 feet away from your phone via Bluetooth. Even better, if you move out of range, your Vybe notification band will buzz wildly until you correct your mistake.
