Timex introduces smartwatch with Mirasol display and cellular connectivity

Timex on Wednesday announced the IRONMAN ONE GPS+, a smartwatch with cellular connectivity and a Qualcomm Mirasol display. Slated to arrive later this year, the watch is designed to operate completely independent of a smartphone. Features include 4GB internal storage, an always-on display, Bluetooth, GPS, and cellular (AT&T) connection, and a rechargeable battery.

Water-resistant up to 50 meters, the Ironman One GPS+ will be sold in two color options as well as a third version with a heart rate monitor. The watch is also compatible with a number apps including Strava, RunKeeper, and MapMyFitness.

The Ironman GPS+ is expected to retail for $399 and include one year of AT&T connectivity. The model with a hear rate sensor will sell for $450.
