The Jaybird Reign is yet another in a long line of fitness tracker and fitness bands coming out just in time for the holiday season. Jaybird has traditionally been known as a headphone company, but they believe they’ve got the chops to compete in the crowded wearable space.
A few unique things about the Jaybird Reign:
Go-Zone
The iOS and Android app associated with the Reign will keep track of your heart rate and provide a readiness score. The higher the score, the more prepared your body is for physical activity.
Wrist Shaping
Similar to, but not at all like the one ring, the Jaybird Reign will conform to the shape of your wrist. Its go eight different sizes so you can find the perfect fit.
Sleep Planning
We are all used to our wearables tracking our sleep, but the Reign claims to tell us how much sleep we need to be well rested.
It will be interesting to see if the Jaybird Reign can deliver on their promises. I like that it’s waterproof, and that it can track heart rate. At $199, it’s at a pretty good price points. The Jaybird websites is advertising the fitness band will be available on November 1st, but other sources seem to believe it will be available on October 26th in the US.
