Tag Heuer will introduce its first Android Wear-powered smartwatch on November 9 at an event in New York, reports CNBC. According to the new site, the watch will retail for $1,800, or a few hundred dollars higher than it was previously expected to cost.

[blockquote author=”Jean-Claude Biver, Tag Heuer CEO”]We were a little bit concerned about the price, because we’re going to sell it at $1,800 … and now we are quite reassured because Apple is telling us we can sell at $1,500 or even more. I’m very, very pleased.[/blockquote]

Tag Heuer is a luxury brand so we’d expect nothing less than a high quality watch with superior craftsmanship. And, while this will easily be among the most expensive Android Wear watches, it will still command a lower price point than some configurations of the Apple Watch.
