Samsung selects 200 finalists in Gear App Challenge
Samsung trimmed nearly 1,000 entries for its Gear App Challenge down to 200 finalists. With each of them earning $2,000 for their efforts, it’s on to the next round of competition.
Starting Friday, August 22, the second round will be whittled down to 40 winners who will share $850,000 between them. The top ten apps will be highlighted at the upcoming Samsung Developers Conference (November) and also presented to the general public. The app will the most overall votes will earn a car worth roughly $ 50,000 and the overall winner takes home $100,000.
