Further evidence that a SIM enabled smartwatch is coming from Samsung has been revealed in a new report confirming that the Samsung Gear 2 Solo exists and is coming soon.
Given the model number SM-R710, it is a distance away from the SM-R380 and SM-R381 of the Gear 2 and Gear 2 Neo suggesting a product that was separate from their development phases.
Details of the Samsung Gear 2 Solo come courtesy of an import data sheet which lists the device as ‘FOR R&D purposes’, but lists the price at INR 12,292 which is approximately $205. However, don’t be surprised if the price reaches more towards the $299 when all the other costs of bringing the device to market get applied.
Samsung have a health-related event later this month which seems prime opportunity for the company to release the Samsung Gear 2 Solo to the world. Roll on May 28th.
