Samsung Gear 2 gets the tear down treatment by iFixit

The Samsung Gear 2 smartwatch has gotten the routine teardown by the guys over at iFixit to see what’s powering the new gadget.

iFixit shows the full teardown on their website and without too much effort you can get into the Samsung Gear 2 to show what is inside. With just a Torx driver and a bit of light prying, the smartwatch splits in half to reveal it’s innards.

The Gear 2 is slowly winning us over with this repairability business. Samsung, you may continue wooing us.

Interestingly, the smartwatch scores an impressive 8 out of 10 for repairability, with iFixit giving points for the replaceable wristband, as well as the ease of replacing the battery and getting into the device. It only avoided full marks because of the fused display which is glued to the front of the device.
