We know that Samsung likes to push everything under the blue sky out to the market and it would be unlike them to miss out on every single inch of smartwear market.
We know that Samsung is heavy on smartwatches already, not only that but there have been some rumors that they’re working on Gear Glass, a direct competitor to Google Glass. That is not the end of it either, recently we’ve seen leaks regarding Samsung Gear Blink and Samsung Rounded and now we have some more news regarding Samsung’s smartwear products.
Already competing with everyone? So why not compete with Oculus Rift as well. Samsung is allegedly working on a virtual headset which would compete directly with Oculus Rift, according to Engadget that is. This mysterious device should be announced later this year and should sport an OLED screen which should be equal to or better than the one on Oculus.
The device will reportedly not be powered by Tizen, which is kind of interested, considering most of other Samsung products are pushing towards that OS. It should also be cheaper than the competition. This sure sounds interesting, more info will hopefully come soon. What do you think, would you like to see something like this come from Samsung?
