Pre-Order Carl Zeiss $99 VR One headset

So far it sounds like some of the other virtual reality headsets could set you back a pretty penny.  But, if you’re still interested in getting into the VR game, the new Carl Zeiss VR One headset could be for you and only for $99.  The Carl Zeiss VR headset uses trays designed for smartphones, that you then slip into the headset.  By using your own smartphone as the display, this removes a significant amount of the cost of purchasing a VR headset.  Initially trays will be available for the iPhone 6 and the Samsung Galaxy 5, but there should be more trays available at a later date.  Additional trays should set you back about $10.  This sounds like a great way to get into virtual reality, if you enjoy it you can always invest in a more expensive system later.  The first units should ship before Christmas this year.
