Pebble watch face review: DOMO 2.0!
One of the main watchfaces that was popular months ago and then removed from the store was the DOMO watchface. The lovable character is featured in the newest rendition of this highly-animated creation. In the original version, the face of DOMO was the main screen of the watch and inside its mouth, the time would spin and change as it chews. There was very little functionality and it was just a nice gimmick that really showed that Pebble is more than just a bland watch, it has personality.
The new watchface, presented again by NKH the Japan Broadcasting Corporation, comes with a whole lot more functionality and personality. No longer does he just chew time, in between his teeth runs animations using physical movements or navigating around the watch, you can even interact with it creature.
DOMO will go through various animations as the day progresses and time changes. The basic twisting animation from the last version is the default. Along with a sleeping animation when nighttime sets in, reactions of anger to shaking the watch, and even being able to get your location and show an animation of the temperature.
Although I wouldn’t call this watchface “elegant” by any means, I would say that it’s beautiful. It’s simple and yet the moving parts bring character to your wrist. The animations are smooth and lifelike. Even in monochrome it’s got color.
