Pebble sold how many smartwatches?! New products coming
Pebble has made the announcement recently with an interview with The Verge that they have sold its 1 millionth smartwatch. This is an amazing achievement when considering the independence of Pebble compared to other major OEM’s, which together have barely sold more than 750,000 Android Wear watches. Of course, Pebble has had its smartwatches on the market longer than other OEMs, but impressive nonetheless.
Pebble plans to launch more products later this year, but do not have an exact date. The company explained that they have a new software that will accompany their smartwatches. ”We’ve found a new framework to use as an interaction model on the watch,” explained their CEO.
While Pebble’s smartwatches are loved by those who own them, now if definitely a good time to prepare for something new as the Apple Watch is expected to hit the market in April and Android Wear continues to mature.
