Pebble Android Users Gain Sync with Endomondo Fitness App
If you’re someone who uses the Pebble smartwatch, as well as the Endomondo fitness app, you can now have a little bit more fun. Today, Endomondo released an update to the Endomondo Sports Tracker application for Android users. The update brings the ability to start, pause, or stop a work from their Pebble smartwatch, while working out.
Also, the Endomondo app will allow your Pebble to display up to three configurable data metrics such as distance traveled, heart rate, and workout duration. The cool part about being able to view these pieces of information on your Pebble, is the fact that the Endomondo app also will make your Pebble vibrate for every mile that you travel. Every time that you pass the mile marker, your Pebble will also display a performance summary.
The fun comes in with the fact that this update also brings the ability to ‘Challenge Your Friends’. If you’re going for a long walk or a run, you can create a unique challenge and send that challenge to your friends or family. This can create a little bit of friendly competition which is always beneficial and can act as some more motivation if you’re having a hard time getting over the “hump”.
In order to get this update, head over to the Google Play store, and check for updates. Once updated, you can control all the settings directly from the Endomondo app. Now, if you’ve been thinking about trying out Endomondo, and this update is something that you’ve been looking for, you can grab the Endomondo app for free via the Play Store. Once downloaded onto your device, head over to the Pebble store and download the Endomondo app from there as well.
