Omate X is a $129 companion smartwatch that pairs with Android and iOS

Omate, as expected, today announced its latest smartwatch endeavor, the “companion” wearable that works with Android and iOS devices. Arriving as a pre-order on September 1, the Omate X will carry a very attractive $129 price tag.

The watch pairs to your smartphone vie Bluetooth and pushes notifications for activities such as phone calls, messaging, reminders, and social media updates.  Designed with a premium look and feel, the Omate X is built with metal, leather, and removable straps. Battery life, at 400mAh, is touted to be as long as a week.

Pre-orders will be available from September 1 to September 30; the first 1,000 orders will receive an “early bird/limited edition” serial number. If interested, be sure to check omate.com at the top of the coming month.
