Recently Motorola got everyone excited by letting slip what we thought was the price of their upcoming 360 smart watch. Some keen-eyed contestants of the Design Face-Off competition being run by Moto noticed the “approximate retail price” of $249 in the contest rules, the rumour spread like wildfire and quite rightly so as this would be a great price for what is shaping up to be one of the most anticipated smart watches.
Well, Motorola were quick to respond to calm the waters by saying:
“We want to make clear that the “Approximate Retail Value” (ARV) indicated in our rules is included for tax purposes only and should not be interpreted as the suggested retail price of the Moto 360 when it becomes available for purchase”
So $249 may not be the price of the Moto 360 after all and your guess will be as good as ours to what the real price will actually be, although a sub $300 price tag for smart watch that looks as good as the Moto 360 would be amazing.
Tell us what you would like to see the Moto 360 priced at when it finally gets released.
