Moto 360 will sport Qi wireless charging
We should see Motorola’s Moto 360 smartwatch on Google I/O in a day or two, it may even get launched there. Until then you can check out our “what we know” post for more information.
Motorola teased Moto 360’s wireless charging capabilities in a hangout session they held back in March and Motorola Program Manager Philip Worth even confirmed it when he talked with TechRadar. This time the device stopped by FCC which now basically confirms wireless charging yet again. Moto 360 smartwatch will definitely come with Qi (Wireless Power Consortium protocol) wireless charging. We still don’t know if the watch will be able to use any Qi wireless charger or will it require a specific one by Motorola though.
Be it as it may, we’ll hear more about this really soon. Google I/O will take place June 25 and 26 where we should see Moto 360 in all its glory alongside LG G Watch and maybe even Samsung’s take on Android Wear.
