Two of the original smartwatches to run Android Wear, the Moto 360 and LG G Watch, will not receive the Android Wear 2.0 update this fall. Both companies recently made the distinction via social media (Motorola, LG), giving their respective a general expectation.
Announced at Google I/O last month, Android Wear 2.0 features a refreshed UI, new keyboard and input options, and a generally smarter experience. Both the Motorola and LG wearables were introduced in mid-2014; Motorola replaced its model a year later while LG has discontinued that particular watch.
