Moto 360 could cost twice as much as other Android Wear watches

Come on Motorola, put us out of our misery and give us a release date and price for the Moto 360. We’ve seen a stack of images, features and rumours for the soon to be Android Wear smartwatch but still no real hard details on what the company will price it at when it launches in the summer.

There was hope that a price had been revealed when UK on-line retailer Mobile Fun put the Moto 360 up for pre-order for £199 which was not far adrift of the LG G Watch and Samsung Gear Live price, sadly the site soon removed the price with a  “We’ll announce our price following the official release” message being posted up instead.

Now a Chinese retailer has posted the price of the Moto 360 on its website with a price tag of 2,800 Yuan which is translated to a massive $450 and a costly difference to the G Watch and the Gear Live that are being sold for around $229.

We know that the Moto 360 is going to a bit special and better looking than its current rivals but is $450 too much to pay for this highly anticipated smartwatch? Give us your views in the comments below.
