LG announces Lifeband Touch and LG Heart Rate Earphones

LG is all over the place lately, from teasing their upcoming LG G Watch smartwatch and LG G3 flagship smartphone to announcing the availability of their new fitness gadgets. So, what’s the deal with these new gadgets? Read on.

LG Electronics USA announced two new gadgets today, LG Lifeband Touch and LG Heart Rate Earphones.

Here at LG, we know that everyone is trying to live a healthier lifestyle, and we want to help make that as easy as possible. With the introduction of our wearable fitness products and the new LG Fitness app, users will be able to become more aware of their activity level and make smarter decisions on a daily basis to help impact their overall wellness.”

LG Lifeband Touch is a smartband with a bright OLED touch display for good outdoor visibility. It features a flexible wristband in order to be more comfortable and a triple-axis accelerometer and an altimeter, as far as sensors go, LG says that these sensors will help provide most accurate fitness data possible.

LG Heart Rate Earphones have a built in heartrate sensor built in the headphones and they provide a real-time heart rate data. These are strap-free earphones/headset.

Both products are compatible with the two biggest mobile platforms today, Android and iOS, they will work with LG’s own fitness app, RunKeeper or MyFitnessPal for example. Both products will launch exclusively with selected Best Buy stores on May 18. LG Lifeband Touch will cost you $149.99 and LG Heart Rate Earphones $179.99.
