HTC’s first foray into Android Wear-powered smartwatches will not arrive until at least the fall of 2016. At least so says oft-reliable Evan Blass (@evleaks) of Twitter fame.
According to him, the wearable could ultimately arrive some two years after it was initially expected. As to why there’s another delay it’s unclear at this point. HTC has made it clear in the past that it wants to get things right and do watches properly in terms of design.
Rumors for the so-called HTC One watch include a full circular display like the Huawei Watch with a resolution of 360×360 pixels.
One possibility for the delay could include waiting to launch it with Android Wear 2.0 but that’s just wishful thinking on our part. HTC is rumored to be prepping a Nexus smartphone (or two) for Google and the timing of the launch lines up nicely.
