Fitbit owns a big chunk of the wearable space. Like half of it. We recently wrote about Pebble’s dominance in the “smart” category, but now we are referring to some more basic wearables. According to a report from Canalys, the Fitbit line claimed approximately half of 2.7 fitness bands sold in Q1 of 2014. Sorted by the amount of functions they are capable of doing, we can still call them smart wearables. Fitbit managed to sell so many device despite Fitbit Force recall a few months back. Not only that but the company was sued, Fitbit allegedly caused rashes on some people.
Do you own a Fitbit band? Or any other fitness band?
