Google Glass gets Tripit, Foursquare, OpenTable apps

Going on your summer vacations soon? Then don’t forget to wear Google Glass on your journeys. Google recently revealed that glass has become a useful travel companion for the many users taking part in its Explorer program, this is mainly due to having technology that helps you to travel on your holiday but not get in the way either.

The outcome of this feedback is great news for owners of Glass and Google, as they look for new ways of using the device in the real world, and has seen some new Glassware from Tripit, Foursquare and Opentable become available. Seeing your pre-planned travel itinerary from Tripit right in front of you, being able to “check-in” on Foursquare by voice command while your hands are full of luggage and using Opentable to book a table at a restaurant without getting your phone out are very useful features when traveling.

The new apps are available now in MyGlass along with other essential travel tools such as Google Now, Maps and the impressive WordLens app that will translate things like foreign road signs on the spot right in front of your eyes.

Would you use Glass on your vacation, do you think it would help with your traveling? Leave us some comments below!
