Google Glass mania began when the Explorer Program Google opened up for a limited number of people. Oh, and in addition to being fortunate enough to get in the club they had to pay $1500 for the chance to own the wearable tech. It was an elite club with very few members. Then, slowly, things began to slowly changeover the last few months.
Google let anyone buy Glass for one day only about one month ago and the turnout was significantly higher than expected. Today, now anyone (from US) can buy Google Glass for $1500. If you want to join the Explorer Program you can do that here.
Google stated in their G+ post: “We’re still in the Explorer Program while we continue to improve our hardware and software.”
Google is moving step by step to a final release of Google Glass, that much is obvious. More users means more feedback and a chance to fix what needs addressed.
Do you plan on getting a pair of Google’s futuristic glasses or not? Do you still think the price is too high now that you can buy them yourself?
