Just when you thought that Google Glass was on the way out, out comes a rumour that regenerates the buzz surrounding the face-mounted wearable. According to ‘sources close to the matter’, Google Glass 2.0 will be release next year in 2015 and will be powered by Intel.

The partnership is aimed at focusing on helping Google Glass penetrate the wearable market and bring it to mainstream and business consumers, something that it has struggled with in the first generation of wearable.

The hope is that having Google Glass 2.0 powered by an Intel chip will help attract developers from a wide range of industry’s to build apps to inject the wearable into the enterprise.

Could you see Google Glass at a company near you soon?
