Mobile gaming is about to get even more mobile, with the news of Gameloft planning to bring games to smartwatches in the future, and already has plans to bring it’s hit game Danger Dash to smartwatches. The game, as well as future others, will be integrated to MediaTek’s LinkIt™ platform specially designed for “wearable” and Internet of Things (IoT) devices.
Gameloft says that this partnership will bring many amazing experiences to smartwatch gaming, with you being able to dodge obstacles, escape from tigers and collect artifacts on your smartwatch with a simple twist of the wrist.
“It is always exciting to develop games that are played in ways that were never imagined before,“ says Gonzague De Vallois, Senior Vice President Publishing Gameloft. “Danger Dash will perfectly showcase the capabilities of the smartwatch in terms of gameplay, and we are delighted to bring it to even more players all around the world.“
It’ll truly be interesting to see what kind of apps and games are being planned for the upcoming smartwatches like the G Watch and Moto 360. What do you guys think?
