Casio’s rugged outdoor smartwatch is now available

Casio, one of the biggest names in watches, is making a splash in the smartwatch world. Their new Android Wear powered WSD-F10 is set to launch today.

The WSD-F10 was announced at CES 2016 earlier this year to huge interest. We loved it here on SmarterWatching and named it one of the best smartwatches from the show.

The watch features water resistance up to 50 meters, and military certification for rugged activities. The band is made of a soft eurothane, which lets it retain its comfort, even after hours of being worn.

Casio has focused on the outdoorsman with their newest watch, and appropriately packed it with features to suit the audience. Owners will be able to check directions, altitude, weather conditions, and sunrise and sunset times right on their wrists. Additionally, the WSD-F10 will offer up tide and activity graphs so you can easily keep track of the best time to go swimming and how active you were that day.

Since the watch runs Android Wear, you will still get the standard Android integration for things like email, text message, call, and voice search as well.

The Casio WSD-F10 Smart Outdoor Watch will retail for $500 and come in four colors- red, green, black, and orange. If you’re interested in picking one up, you can check out Amazon, the Google Store, REI or Casio’s website.
