Bitdefender combats smartphone theft with Android Wear features ['Watch' This App]

Bitdefender has rolled out a new update which aims to give users some peace of mind when it comes to potential smartphone theft. Included in the latest version are two key new features, both of which take advantage of having an Android Wear device on your wrist.

Extend Bitdefender Mobile Security to your smart watch. Use your Android Wear device to make your phone scream when it’s out of sight or receive an alert when you step too far away from your phone.

WearON features include:

• Phone Alert – Your smart watch will vibrate when you step too far away from your phone, to help you avoid leaving your Android device behind.
• Scream – Use your Android Wear device to locate your phone. Ping your smartphone from your smart watch, and it will scream for you even if you left it on silent.
