Asus ZenWatch to be released in very limited numbers

0

Time for an update on the forthcoming Asus ZenWatch.  In an earlier article we noted that the ZenWatch would be released in November in very limited numbers.  Now it sounds like Asus will release somewhere in the neighborhood of 300 units, in Taiwan to begin with.  Asus isn’t giving us a reason for the limited numbers, but it’s definitely an interesting tactic.  The ZenWatch is one of the better looking smartwatches that are nearing release.  It’s rectangular screen is slightly curved and includes a handsome leather band.  It’s no slouch in the specs department either, with a Snapdragon 400 processor, 512MB of RAM and 4GB of internal memory should keep it running like a champ.  It will run Android but be skinned with Asus’ ZenUI, hopefully it’s a light skin and we don’t see the bloatware that is so common on smartphones.  What do you guys think of the Asus ZenWatch?  Any of you out there waiting to pick up one of your own?
