Rumours of an Asus smartwatch were heard at the beginning of the year and now Acer have announced that it may be launching its first device in Q3 of 2014 and will be the companies first adventure into the wearable device arena but also “testing the water” at the same time.
No hardware specifications or design details have been released but it is reported to be running Android Wear OS and will feature voice and motion controls which could form more of a companion device for smartphones and tablets rather than a dedicated smartwatch.
Given Asus partnership with Google, could this be a NEXUS wearable device being developed ?
