Apple’s iWatch to be released in October

It’s been rumored for some time now, but Apple’s first foray into the smart wearable industry will be coming this October.

“People familiar with Apple’s plan” told Re/code that the Cupertino-based company will be holding a special event that month. The device, presumed to be called the iWatch, will supposedly make use of the HealthKit health and fitness information-gathering app that recently was showed off at Apple’s World Wide Developer Conference 2014.

Not much else of the “iWatch” is known, but maybe Apple will be able to keep it under wraps until the unveil, although the chances of that are slim.
