Apple’s employee confirms that they’re working on an iWatch

We don’t have much information on the infamous iWatch, only rumors that came out in the last few months and some information that leaked from Apple’s meeting with the FDA. The meeting leak revealed that Apple is definitely planning to release an unknown wearable. This time around we have some more credible rumors coming directly from an Apple employee.

The New York Times did a profile on Tim Cook. In the process of making it they interviewed numerous Apple employees one of which confirmed that Apple is working on an wrist-mounted wearable. So he didn’t exactly say an iWatch but… it’s an iWatch. Here’s the quote:

They point to the development of the so-called iWatch — the “smartwatch” that Apple observers are eagerly awaiting as the next world-beating gadget. Mr. Cook is less involved in the minutiae of product engineering for the watch, and has instead delegated those duties to members of his executive cabinet, including Mr. Ive..

So Jony Ive and other executives are definitely included in the whole process. There’s still no word when this gadget may see the light of day, our best guess is Q3. Do you think the long wait will be worth it?
