Apple: We have “moral obligation” to enter the wearables market
It seems that iWatch’s arrival is inevitable. We’ve seen a ton of leaks on the subject thus far but today we’re talking about a concept of the iWatch as well as a report that it may have a curved screen made by LG.
In this new report Apple Toolbox‘s Freedom of Information Act inquiry yielded some rather interesting news from a meeting held in December 2013. Apple talked to U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) on the importance of wearable technology in general and most importantly in healthcare. Apple allegedly said that it has a “moral obligation” to enter wearables market, which obviously points to an iWatch and/or other wearable gadgets.
We also learned that devices and applications meant for tracking health won’t be subjected to additional scrutiny from the FDA, while devices who target specific illnesses and conditions will be treated as medical devices.
Are you looking forward to an iWatch?
