Android Wear-powered ZenWatch announced by Asus
Asus announced its Android Wear-powered smartwatch at this year’s IFA in Berlin. The device sports a 1.63-inch AMOLED display 320 x 320 in resolution. Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 400 processor clocked at 1.2GHz is powering the device with 512MB of RAM included in the watch as well. This watch comes with Bluetooth 4.0 and has IP55 certification for water and dust resistance. The device will cost $259.
This smartwatch will face tough competition from Motorola, LG, Samsung and Sony considering all of them showcased their Android Wear-powered smartwatches at this year’s IFA. Motorola introduced Moto 360 while LG showed of its LG G Watch R smarwatch which sports a circular display just like the Moto 360. Samsung announced showcased its previously announced Gear S smartwatch with a curved display and finally Sony unveiled Sony Smartwatch 3 which has Android Wear powering it this time around.
