Is my Android smartphone compatible with Android Wear?

So you’ve heard the news, seen the pictures, and are already thinking about buying an Android Wear smartwatch. The only hangup, as you see it, is knowing whether your smartphone is compatible with the new software experience. Thankfully, finding out is as easy as visiting a website from your phone.

Simply navigate your browser to g.co/WearCheck on your phone and you’ll find out for certain if you can take advantage of Android Wear. Note, you can save yourself some hassle and time if you aren’t running at least Android 4.3 on your phone. Anything prior to that is not going to play nicely. As of June 4, 2014  that’s roughly 24% of the total devices running around.
