Amazon scoops up Google Glass founder

Chances are you won’t recognize the name of Babak Parviz but you probably know his work. Parviz is one of the leaders behind Google Glass and Google’s Contact Lenses, among other non-public projects.

A post on Google+ from over the weekend tells us he has moved on from Google to the Amazon side of things. As to what he might do for Amazon remains unclear however his expertise could put him in their Lab126, the source for Kindle projects, Fire TV, and the Fire Phone. It stands to reason his eyewear history could come into play in future products or services.
