Acer debuts Liquid Leap, a fitness-tracking wristband
The smartwatch market is heating up and the latest contender to enter is Acer with a fitness-tracking wristband that pairs with mobile devices.
Speaking at their press event in New York, Acer said the new Liquid Leap smartband captures fitness information and has sensors to track a variety of health-relation activity.
Available towards the end of July 2014, Acer said the wristband is mainly to be used in conjunction with mobile devices, but didn’t go into detail exactly what platforms or devices will be officially supported.
It seems Acer are dipping out of their standard PC manufacturing to explore new markets and opportunities, and exactly how they perform will be seen in July with the Liquid Leap, so we’ll keep our eyes on this one.
